π° I am Sarah - a graphic designer turned tipsy baker. I love nothing more than the process of trying new flavours and recipes, I started Happy Hour Cakes initially taking inspiration and ingredients from cocktails and transforming them into creations that are as delicious as they are beautiful.
πΈFrom the beginning, people would always ask me how I develop new recipes and cakes, and my answer for so long would always be the same. My response would be βwhatβs your favourite cocktail? I can make it in cake formβ. From the cake that started it all; a G&T cake, a hit at my friend's hen do, devoured before the party even began. Happy Hour Cakes emerged during a time when everyone was obsessed with bottomless brunches and dashing out of work to seize the most of Happy Hour. Each cake I craft is designed to recreate that exhilarating feeling of Happy Hour and encapsulate that free spirited sweet spot - the thrill of trying as many cocktails as you can before the clock runs out, minus the blurry flashbacks to remind you, you pushed it one round too many.
π₯ Happy Hour Cakes celebrates the joy of togetherness. Today, the essence of Happy Hour is still very much alive. While my creations are now less alcohol-focused, they remain just as delightful. I specialise in crafting bespoke occasion and wedding cakes, featuring striking designs, premium ingredients, and a vibrant menu.
